We want every gift that comes from our stores, and every home accessory to say something wonderful about our customers. We work hard to offer unique, interesting things that people feel great about owning and giving. Our newest customers are often those who have received gifts from The Shops.

And finding and giving those the gifts should be fun. We try to create a shopping experience that is personal, like it was in a time before the Malls, so service is important here. The Shops offer personal shoppers, gift consultants and Gift and Bridal Registries if customers want that help. Or you can browse until you find the perfect thing, then we will gift wrap it free-of-charge, deliver it locally or ship it anywhere in the world, everyday.

Amazing selection

The Shops at 14 Pine Street are housed in a quaint historic building on Pine Street. But don't let appearances fool you, the building and the shops, sprawl through two floors of nine rooms—each with a different style—and a huge studio, the hayloft of the circa 1850 barn.

These rooms are packed with treasures of all kinds, including a large selection of gifts for men, from Pond Yachts to silver toothpick holders and 230 styles of silk ties.

Special sections offer gifts for equestrians, golfers, infants, pet lovers, and jewelry and gifts for women. There is a Halloween and Christmas shop year 'round, that features Byers' Choice collectibles.

Home accessories include hand-painted and occasional furniture, domestic and European tapestries, home fragrance and art for wall and table. Our store for tableware, The Golden Pineapple, boasts dozens of lines of china and crystal, most notably Lynn Chase and Fitz & Floyd.

Free advice on Decorating with home accessories

Our selection of occasional furniture, lighting and decorative accessories makes it easy for customers to update the look of their homes and offices without major re-decorating. Often these finishing touches--like silk florals, can make a vast difference in the look of the space at very little expense," says Donna Lohmeyer, co-owner. Customers are offered free in-store or on-site consultation by Donna Lohmeyer, who has a degree in Fine Art, as well as by two other staff designers. We can even offer assistance with installation of accessories—like tapestry wall hangings, offers Dick Lohmeyer, who owns the store with his wife.

Their latest project was for the new Weichert Realtors’ offices in Mountain Lakes. Once the manager and Weichert's staff decorator had selected furniture, wall and floor coverings, The Shops at 14 Pine Street staff went to work adding accent furniture, wall hangings, wall sconces and table lamps, fountains, silk florals, clocks, even live plants outdoors. Manager, Joy Nagarkar says "They took us from a just-moved-in-look to a beautiful finished office environment in days. They have a huge selection, so everything goes in quickly without any hassle to the customer. They hung the tapestries and the welcome sign. They even supplied the garden hose for the outdoor plants, and the American flag for outside!"

Working with Feng Shui

For The Weichert offices, Donna Lohmeyer worked with Feng Shui consultant Deanna Trust of Denville (see www.TrustFengShui.com), who had been hired by manager Nagarkar to guide the offices’ design in keeping with the ancient philosophy of environmental harmony and prosperity.

"Working with Deanna was fascinating," says Lohmeyer. "She guided our selection and placement of objects. It is Frank Lloyd Wright's ‘Form Follows Function’ carried to another plane entirely: ‘Form Follows Function and Philosophy’!" The result is spectacular, and Joy Nagarkar is proud to show it off.
